// So, I have this thing for crate pallets…//

It’s quite simple really.

I seem to find them everywhere. And from my point of view, they are overflowing with some DIY possibility. Case in point:

This is what I see when I walk through the warehouse on my way into the office every morning. I’d venture to say that there has to be more than a hundred beautiful shipping pallets sitting in that warehouse, some occupied, some sitting forlornly like these ones. It makes me want to pick one up and throw it in the back of my car so that I can decorate with them. Is that wrong?

I’ve found a few DIY projects that center around repurposing crate pallets. Check them out. I think that the Succulent Table might be my favorite.

DIY Succulent Table: Dissect an old shipping crate, add some scrap lumber, and you’re well on your way to constructing this simple patio table.

Crate Pallet Plant Stand: No assembly required. Just paint desired color and load on the plants. After it’s dry, of course.

Wood Pallet Bookshelf: A simple bookcase made from pallets and a few 1x4’s.

Pallet Lounge Chairs: Easy tutorial and relatively cost-conscious. Just in time for summer. I’d add cushions.

Pallet Coffee Table: Avoid removing nails and sawing wood for this table by fitting the pallet with a hardboard bottom and filling the cracks with mortar.

Pallet Reading Nook: This chair is constructed from two crate pallets and designed to be tucked into a corner. This DIY tutorial is done in two parts. Visit part one and part two.
